ABOUT ME
I am a licensed certified social worker and registered play therapist. I have worked with adults, children and families for more than 20 years in homeless/youth shelters, schools, childcare settings and clinics in St. Louis, California, and Arkansas.
I received my Masters degree from Washington University and began work with impoverished and traumatized families from the heart of the Tenderloin District in San Francisco to schools and day care centers in California and Arkansas.

Eight ears ago, I combined my interest in trauma and play therapy and pursued my play therapy certification to enhance my treatment and skills. I have extensive experience working with young children, adolescents and adults addressing a variety of issues from anxiety disorders depression to trauma and related behavior disorders. I am LGBTQ friendly and my practice is based on inclusion.

I have a passion for helping people see their own power and self-worth. A big part of the work I do with clients is to help them get the support they need to be happy and maintain positive changes in their lives.

"Heather is a treasure for our family. Not only do my husband and I feel comfortable with her, our daughter loves her. When you have a child who is anxious, starting anything new can be so challenging, but from the very beginning, Heather made her feel welcome and encouraged and supported. We cannot say enough good things about how helpful Heather has been for our daughter and how wonderful it is (for her and for us) to have another trusted adult to help guide her through childhood."
